The role

As a Business Administrator, you’ll be the organising force behind our Safety, Health, Environment and Security team, keeping critical operations running smoothly at one of the UK’s most important defence sites. Your work will help protect people, support national defence, and contribute to projects that matter — giving you meaningful experience in defence, aerospace and engineering and the chance to grow your skills in a complex, high‑impact environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide wide‑ranging administrative support to the Safety, Health, Environment and Security department.
  • Manage data entry and maintenance, producing accurate reports to inform decision‑making.
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track actions to completion.
  • Handle document control, file records, and prepare visitor notifications.
  • Order supplies and liaise with contractors, building strong relationships across One Clyde.

You’ll be working full-time, 36 hours per week onsite at Faslane. This role is a 12 month full time contract.

Essential experience of the Business Administrator:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using business applications
  • Familiarity with a Business Management System.
Qualifications for the Business Administrator:
  • Standard Grade English and Maths Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Pristine Manual Handling
  • SharePoint Connect Contributor/Introduction
  • Mail Handling Awareness.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
