Are you looking to start your career while earning a salary and gaining a nationally recognised qualification? We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice who is keen to learn, develop new skills and make a real difference to local communities.
In this role you will work alongside colleagues to provide a customer focused service to others.
You will be part of our Highways, Transport and Planning directorate, helping support projects and services that keep people moving safely across West Sussex. You will gain experience across a wide range of services that have a real impact on local communities.
You will be involved in several activities including:
Your apprenticeship will last for 18 months and during this time you’ll spend around 20% of your working week studying. We’ll provide you with the flexibility and support you need to learn while you work, but you’ll need to have the commitment and dedication necessary to successfully balance your studies with your day-to-day role.
You will undertake and complete the various elements of the Advanced Apprenticeship, likely to be a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 3, a Business Administration Certificate, Functional Skills, and Employment Responsibilities and Rights.
This role would suit someone who is:
You will need to have five GCSE passes at Grade C or above (4-9) including English Language and Maths, as well as a full valid UK driving licence.
