West Sussex County Council is seeking a motivated Project Delivery Support Officer in the Highways, Transport and Planning Directorate. You will coordinate projects, maintain documents, and support governance forums across multiple teams.
The role focuses on continuous improvement and timely delivery of transformation initiatives. You will manage meetings, track milestones, and analyse performance data, while supporting stakeholder engagement and planning workshops.
The Highways, Transport and Planning (HTP) Directorate plays a vital role in shaping the places where our communities live, work and travel. As part of the wider Place Services Department at West Sussex County Council, we deliver a broad range of statutory and strategic functions across highways, transport, travel, planning, development and the countryside.

Salary: £27,254 to £28,598 per annum (£11,785 to 12,366 per annum pro rata)
Working Pattern: Part time 16 hour per week with flexible work opportunities – Monday to Thursday 9:30am to 2pm, final working arrangements will be agreed with hiring manager

We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Delivery Support Officer to join our Business Assurance Group. This team leads on continuous improvement, project delivery, performance and data, and systems development across the HTP Directorate.
As a Project Delivery Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the coordination, administration and governance of transformation and improvement projects.
You will work across multiple teams and disciplines, helping ensure projects are delivered effectively, consistently and in line with agreed governance arrangements.
You will also take ownership of defined project workstreams, coordinating delivery, monitoring progress and ensuring actions are completed within agreed deadlines.
