Job summary

Arriva is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to support day-to-day bus operations at the depot. You will supervise staff and drivers, manage service delivery, and work with engineering to keep fleets available and services on schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, transport operations knowledge, good communication, and a full driving licence. You will handle scheduling, safety compliance and strive to improve punctuality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Operations Supervisor, Transport Supervisor or Duty Manager.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing operational performance and KPIs.
• Knowledge of transport operations, scheduling and resource planning.
• Understanding of health and safety and compliance in transport.
• Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and monitor service performance.
• Supervise staff and bus drivers, and manage route coverage.
• Coordinate resource allocation and maintain fleet availability.
• Produce operational reports and maintain records.
• Investigate incidents and customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
