Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver in Runcorn to join the premier parcel delivery team. You will drive a Volvo truck from a modern fleet, handling loading and unloading where needed, and delivering to customers on time across a 45-hour week.

Expect to work Mon-Fri with early starts, and to manage routes with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and vehicle inspection routines. The role offers a supportive environment and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 1 Driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to safe road use.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Operate 9-hour shifts Mon-Fri, typically starting around 7/8am.
• Plan routes and load/unload goods as required at various sites.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete a Defect Report if needed.
• Scan consignments and operate pallet trucks when required.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
