Job description

At Dalkia, we combine technical expertise with a passion for innovation to deliver exceptional engineering solutions. We're seeking a proactive Building Fabric Maintenance Operative to join our team at Sizewell B on a permanent basis.

Location: Sizewell B (Coronation Park). Employment type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week). Salary: Competitive + Comprehensive Benefits Package.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of plumbing, civil, and building fabric maintenance across the site.
• Lead, coordinate, and supervise PPM and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring schedules, standards, and budgets are met.
• Support other trades across the station.
• Oversee subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring safe and efficient site operations.
• Promote a strong safety‑first culture, complying with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Conduct routine site audits and spot checks to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Support the operation and maintenance of key facilities, including the training centre, visitor centre, and administrative buildings.
• This role will be employed by G4S but will hold duty responsibility for Sizewell C (SZC), therefore be an integral part of the client team. The on‑duty SZC Emergency Shift Manager (ESM) retains overall command for the operation or incident.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Background in one or more of the following: carpentry, plumbing, civils, or building maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance and management systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and strong organisational skills.
