Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council seeks a Building Control Surveyor to join the Building Control Team in Clitheroe. The role ensures new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions comply with safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

You will be registered as a Class 2a Building Inspector with Building Safety Regulator, with a degree and membership in RICS or CABE, plus at least two years in Building Control.

Qualifications

• Registered with Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2a Building Inspector.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Building Control.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Degree and membership of RICS or CABE.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.
• Work within the Building Control Team to inspect and approve projects.
