Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council in Clitheroe is seeking a Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control Team. You will ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

The ideal candidate will be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2a (minimum) Building Inspector, hold a relevant degree, be a member of RICS or CABE, and have a minimum of two years’ experience in Building Control.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant degree and professional membership.
• Two years’ experience in Building Control is required.
• Full driving licence and vehicle access are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.
• Work within the Building Control Team to assess plans, inspections and compliance.
