Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council in Clitheroe, Lancashire is seeking a Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control Team. The role ensures new buildings and alterations meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

Applicants must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2a (minimum) Building Inspector, hold a relevant degree, and be a member of RICS or CABE with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field, membership of a professional Institute (RICS or CABE).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Building Control section.
• Registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2a (minimum) Building Inspector.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.
• Work as part of the Building Control Team within a picturesque rural Borough.
• Support regulatory compliance and quality assurance across building control activities.
