Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is hiring a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control Team in Clitheroe. The role focuses on ensuring new buildings and alterations comply with safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

You will need a relevant degree and membership of CABE or RICS, plus a minimum of five years’ Building Control experience. Applicants should have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

Qualifications

• Registered with Building Safety Regulator as Class 2d minimum.
• Degree with full CABE or RICS membership.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Building Control section.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.
• Work within the Building Control Team of Ribble Valley Borough Council.
• Carry out inspections and assess compliance with regulations.
