Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join its Building Control Team in a rural borough known for its scenic surroundings. You will help ensure that new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions comply with safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2d (minimum) Building Inspector.
• Degree with full CABE or RICS membership or other relevant professional membership.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Building Control section.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Join the Building Control Team to oversee compliance for new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions.
• Ensure regulatory standards for safety, sustainability, accessibility and design are met.
• Support in delivering high-quality building control services within a picturesque rural borough.
