Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council in Clitheroe, Lancashire, seeks a Building Control Surveyor to join the Building Control Team. You will ensure new buildings meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards, with registration as a Class 2a Building Inspector and a relevant degree.

The role requires a minimum 2 years’ Building Control experience, a valid driving licence, and membership in RICS or CABE.

Qualifications

• Registration with Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2a Building Inspector.
• A relevant degree is required.
• Membership of an Institute (RICS or CABE).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Building Control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Building Control Team to ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Assess plans and inspect building works for safety, sustainability, accessibility and design.
• Provide guidance and enforcement as part of the Building Control function.
