Job summary

An Leeds-based bridge engineering role within a leading multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering consultancy offers exposure to major UK and Irish projects. You will work on design, assessment, strengthening and refurbishment of bridge structures, with strong support toward Chartered Engineer status and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent is required, with registration or intent towards chartership.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant bridge engineering or civil structures experience.
• Experience in design and/or assessment of bridge structures and working with UK design standards.
• Experience across design stages from concept to detailed design and knowledge of analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and technical delivery of bridge and civil structures projects.
• Undertake structural analysis, calculations and design assessments.
• Develop structural models and interpret analysis results.
• Produce engineering drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, optioneering and scheme development.
• Undertake site inspections and support bridge assessments where required.
• Prepare technical reports and coordinate with clients and contractors.
• Support construction-phase activities and respond to technical queries.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and budget.
• Mentor graduate engineers as experience develops and progress towards Chartership.
