Job summary

Côte Brasserie in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in running a busy restaurant with French brasserie flair and a focus on guest experience.

You will lead the front-of-house team, maintain service standards, help train staff, manage rotas and costs, ensure cleanliness, and work closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver exceptional service every shift. A competitive hourly rate plus tronc and bonus opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a high-volume restaurant or brasserie.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for hospitality, food and wine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure service standards reflect the quality and style of a classic French brasserie.
• Assist with training your team members and managing performance.
• Help manage rotas, labour costs and operational efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
