Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Branch Supervisor in Macclesfield. You will support daily operations, supervise staff, and provide expert trade counter assistance. The role includes local deliveries, driving a 3.5T van, and a Saturday rotation.

Experience in branch supervision and outbound sales is essential. You’ll be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8am–12pm paid as overtime; a full driving licence is required and a forklift

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is essential.
• Previous face-to-face sales supervisory experience is essential.
• Team leader with ability to train and coach staff.
• Willingness to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Comfort with outbound sales to win new business.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with daily branch operations and cover when needed.
• Supervise and coach colleagues, provide training and feedback to hit targets.
• Serve customers on trade counter with product knowledge and advice.
• Develop customer base, improve retention and satisfaction, optimise product mix.
• Identify ways to improve profits and liaise with suppliers.
• Handle goods in/out, picking, packing, and basic warehouse duties.
• Drive 3.5T van for local deliveries and ensure branch runs smoothly.
