Job summary

Wolseley Group's Pipe Centre in Edinburgh is hiring a Branch Supervisor to help run the small Edinburgh branch, supervise staff, assist the Branch Manager, and build rapport with customers and suppliers.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary plus bonus and excellent benefits including pension, annual leave and healthcare. The job covers counter sales, product knowledge, goods in/out, and daily operations from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
• Prior experience in a face-to-face customer service/sales environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
• Team player willing to take on a diverse branch role to ensure smooth operations.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day branch operations.
• Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Serve customers on the trade counter with product knowledge.
• Build rapport with customers & suppliers and process sales.
• General warehouse duties including goods in/out, picking and packing orders.

As a Branch Supervisor based in Edinburgh you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.
• Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
• Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm
