Job summary

Pipe Centre Edinburgh, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Branch Supervisor to lead daily operations at our busy trade counter in Edinburgh.

This full-time role involves supervising staff, delivering training and guidance, and ensuring excellent service for customers and suppliers. A strong customer-focused approach and product knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
• Prior experience in a face-to-face customer service/sales environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Managers absence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.
• Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
• Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.

Responsibilities

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm

• To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly
