Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited's Pipe Centre in Edinburgh is seeking a Branch Supervisor to support the Branch Manager in daily operations and to lead a small team. You will supervise staff, assist customers at the trade counter with product knowledge, and manage warehouse duties to ensure smooth orders.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience preferable.
• Face-to-face customer service/sales experience required.

• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.

• Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.
• Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.

• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm

Requirements

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable
• Prior experience in a Face to Face customer service/sales environment
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers
• To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Managers absence
