Wolseley’s Plumb Centre in Carmarthen is recruiting a Branch Supervisor to support daily operations, lead a small team, and drive customer service excellence at the trade counter. The role involves supervising staff, handling stock, and promoting sales while ensuring branch targets are met.

The successful candidate will have prior branch or merchant experience, be comfortable with outbound sales calls, and be prepared to step in for the Branch Manager when needed, contributing to a smooth,

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
• Prior experience as a Supervisor within a face-to-face sales environment is essential.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Comfortable making outbound sales calls to gain new business.
• Team player with a flexible, hands-on approach to all branch tasks.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day branch operations and take charge in their absence.
• Supervise and support colleagues with guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Serve customers at the trade counter with product knowledge and advice.
• Develop the customer base and improve retention, satisfaction and product mix.
• Identify opportunities to improve profits and build rapport with suppliers.
• Perform general warehouse duties including goods in/out, picking and packing; heavy stock handling.

As a Branch Supervisor based in Carmarthen, you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within the branch and take charge when they are not available
• Supervise and support colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge
• Develop the customer base, improve retention, satisfaction, product mix, and range
• Identify and recommend ways to improve profits
• Building rapport with suppliers
• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders (this will involve manual handling heavy stock , toilets, sinks, boilers, and radiators)
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between - and Saturday on a rota basis -
