Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Consultant to support Kirkintilloch customers in branch and on the phone, guiding them through everyday banking moments and digital tools. You’ll be part of a permanent, full-time team delivering trusted guidance and a high standard of service.

In this role, you’ll help customers access digital services, answer queries, and support life-changing decisions, while working with colleagues to ensure a fair and meaningfully face-to-face banking experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail environments preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Comfort with helping customers navigate digital banking tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted, friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while keeping customer needs, security and fairness in mind.
• Help customers get the most from our digital services, making banking easier and more accessible.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
• Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch environment, supporting one another to deliver excellent customer service even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot potential issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers.
