Job summary

Nationwide's Virgin Money branch in Stornoway is seeking a Customer Consultant who will help customers in person and over the phone, guiding them through everyday banking moments and using digital tools to simplify managing their money.

The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with a training period. Prior banking experience is not required; a passion for customer service and strong communication is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, in-person or over the phone.
• Able to adapt to a fast-changing environment and handle multiple customers.
• Comfortable using technology and digital banking tools.
• Strong listening and communication skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in-branch and understand their needs to provide trusted help.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries with accuracy, prioritising security and fairness.
• Help customers use digital services to manage their money more easily.
• Guide customers to banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow procedures and escalate concerns to protect customers.
