Job summary

Nationwide in Doncaster is seeking a Customer Representative to deliver in-branch support, phone and online assistance, helping customers with everyday banking moments and guiding them to suitable services. The role is a permanent full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) within a branch team.

You’ll be within a 45-minute commute of the Doncaster branch, and training runs for the first three weeks with no holidays during this period. A strong customer-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• No banking experience required; customer service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, patient and empathetic approach to customers.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries, keeping security and fairness in mind.
• Guide customers through banking products to manage their money.
• Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent customer service at peak times.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns where needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
