Job summary

Immunocore seeks a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance biopharmaceutical characterisation through peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analysis. You will develop HPLC-based methods, coordinate extensive testing, and contribute to GMP-compliant studies in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team.

Senior scientists mentor others and present findings to leadership. Focused on ImmunTAX products, the role involves handling recombinant proteins and antibodies, applying MS

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods.
• Experience with glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Experienced in characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expert amongst peers in electrophoretic, chromatographic or mass spectrometry areas.
• Experience in assay development.
• Familiar with GMP principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS-based characterisation of proteins/antibodies.
• Characterise glycosylation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Coordinate extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterise proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Mentor colleagues and share scientific knowledge; present findings to stakeholders.
