Job summary

St Aloysius’ College in Glasgow is seeking a Billing and Credit Control Officer to join the Finance team. You will oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable across college operations and ensure timely, accurate invoicing and reconciliations.

You'll produce termly fee bills, manage credit control, and generate management reports while liaising with parents and external agencies. A detail‑oriented team player with strong organisational skills is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable across all College operations, including tuition fees, wraparound care, and other charges.
  • Produce termly tuition fee bills, manage credit control and reconciling income receipts and payments.
  • Reconcile cash, debit/credit cards and other payments using the school MIS systems.
  • Prepare progress reports for senior management and assist with ledger analysis and other finance tasks.

The Opportunity

In this interesting and varied role, you’ll be an integral member of the Finance team who will oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable across all College operations, including tuition fee income, wraparound care fees, childcare vouchers, refectory cards, exam fees, school buses and trips/activities.

How you will make an impact

You willensure that all funds are received accurately and timeously through ownership of internal protocols and develop process improvements both within the College and any external agencies.

Your responsibilities will include producing the termly fee bills for tuition fees, credit control and the reconciliation of income receipts, debit/credit cards and cash using the school MIS systems.

In addition, you will produce progress reports for senior management and undertake reconciliations, ledger analysis and any other financial tasks as delegated by the Finance Manager.

What you need to succeed

Educated to Higher level or equivalent experience, and ideally with previous experience of investigative work and debt recovery. You must possess a high attention to detail, with excellent interpersonal skills, as this role will require significant liaison with parents and external agencies. A team player, you must be highly organised with the ability to multi task, prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Sound experience in MS Office packages including Word, Excel and databases is essential.
