Job summary

DHL Supply Chain seeks a Bid Excellence Specialist to shape proposals for customers across sectors, turning complex challenges into clear, persuasive bid responses. This role sits at the heart of DHL's growth opportunities across the UK & Ireland.

You will work with Sales and central functions, from early capture through final submission, collaborating with SMEs to deliver compelling content and build a consistent narrative that strengthens our bids.

Qualifications

• Experience in the management and coordination of complex bids, proposals and strategic pursuits in both private and public sector.
• Strong proposal writing, editing and storytelling capabilities.
• Experience in content creation and bid library development
• Ability to facilitate value proposition workshops and translate information into compelling stories.
• A curious mindset and desire to understand customer challenges and emerging trends.
• Confidence to make recommendations and influence stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong organisational, collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of compelling customer-centric proposals and coordinate with SMEs to deliver high-quality bid submissions.
• Partner with our sales colleagues from early capture through to submission to understand customer challenges, identify differentiators and build persuasive proposals.
• Create clear, engaging, impactful bid responses and shape overall bid narrative to ensure a consistent story runs through each submission.
• Work closely with SMEs to turn complex information into easy to understand content and contribute ideas that improve how we approach each bid.
• Support the continuous development of bid content, helping raise standards across the function and organisation.
• Support the development and upskilling of bid experts within the organisation through the ownership of internal projects.
