Are you a Benefits Assessment Officer looking for work in South East London?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in South East London is looking to recruit a Benefits Assessment Officer to provide vital support during a busy period.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
  • Assess all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support/Reduction claims for all tenure types
  • Respond to Freedom of Information Requests within the prescribed timescale
  • Provide requested information to the DWP Single Fraud Investigation Service
  • Maintain the Supported Exempt Accommodation register
  • Process new claims and changes in circumstances
  • Assess student claims, persons from abroad, and self-employed claims
  • Liaise with external organisations including Landlords, Employers and the Department for Work and Pensions
  • Advise claimants on Benefit entitlements and legislation changes
  • Handle inbound customer queries
