Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work with secondary students in Burnley. You will help manage behaviour, mentor pupils, and support learning for Year 7–11 in small groups of up to eight students.

Experience with SEMH needs and a passion for helping underprivileged backgrounds is preferred. The role may lead to permanent placement after a qualifying period.

Qualifications

• Be confident in behaviour management to de-escalate aggression.
• Mentor and engage with students, delivering designed educational packages.
• Be resilient, empathetic and patient.
• Desirable: experience in a specialist school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support in small classes (Year 7–11) in Burnley.
• Assist pupils with behaviour and learning barriers.
• Deliver tailored educational activities.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare duties.
