Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. in Burnley is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work with secondary students aged 11-16, including those with SEMH needs and EHCPs. You will help manage behaviour in small groups and support learning, building positive relationships and removing barriers to progress.

Experience in specialist settings is desirable; full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with training and ongoing support from Vision for Education, paying weekly PAYE.

Qualifications

• Experience in behaviour support in a school setting is desirable.
• Ability to mentor and engage with pupils to deliver tailored educational packages.
• Confident in de-escalation and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in small groups (Year 7–11) to manage behaviour and access learning.
• Deliver designed educational activities to remove barriers to learning.
• Build positive relationships and support emotional and social progress.
