Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a confident and caring Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who need extra help to thrive in school. You will work one-to-one and in small groups to build confidence, develop positive behaviours, and help students get the most from their learning.

Collaborating with teachers and SEND staff, you will promote emotional regulation and maintain a calm, supportive environment, enabling every child to succeed in suitable settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential.
• Experience in schools, alternative provisions, youth work, care, coaching or mentoring is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small group behaviour and emotional wellbeing interventions.
• Support pupils to stay engaged in learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Work alongside teachers and SEND staff to provide consistent support.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and their families where appropriate.
