Job summary

Tempest Resourcing Limited is recruiting a Behaviour Support Mentor for a secondary school in EN3, Enfield, starting September 2026. This is a hands-on, full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with behaviour and engagement in learning.

You will work alongside teaching staff to de-escalate situations, apply positive behaviour management, and help create a calm, structured environment across lessons. Relevant Team Teach training is desirable, with training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Team Teach training (desirable, full training can be provided).
• Experience in behaviour support, LSA/TA, SEN, or mainstream secondary settings.
• Ability to build trust with pupils who may struggle to self-regulate.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behaviour and engagement in learning, under guidance of teaching staff.
• Assist with de-escalation and positive behaviour management to maintain a calm environment.

Tempest Resourcing is currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in EN3, Enfield, seeking a confident and experienced Behaviour Support Mentor to join their team from September.

About the Role:

This is a hands‑on role supporting pupils who need extra help managing behaviour and staying engaged in learning. You'll work closely with teaching staff to maintain a calm, structured, and positive environment, stepping in to support de‑escalation and positive behaviour management when needed.

Requirements:

• Team Teach trained (desirable, not essential, full training can be provided)
• Previous experience in a behaviour support, LSA/TA, SEN, or mainstream secondary setting
• Confident, calm, and skilled at building trust with pupils who may struggle to self‑regulate
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
