Job summary

Tempest Resourcing Limited is seeking a confident Behaviour Support Mentor for a secondary school in EN3, Enfield, starting September 2026. You will assist teachers by supporting pupils with behaviour, helping maintain a calm, structured learning environment and contributing to de-escalation efforts.

Applicants should have experience in behaviour support or SEN settings; Team Teach training is desirable and an Enhanced DBS on update service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in behaviour support, LSA/TA, SEN or mainstream secondary settings.
• Team Teach training is desirable, full training can be provided.
• Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong safeguarding and behaviour management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Tempest Resourcing is currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in EN3, Enfield, seeking a confident and experienced Behaviour Support Mentor to join their team from September.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role supporting pupils who need extra help managing behaviour and staying engaged in learning. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to maintain a calm, structured, and positive environment, stepping in to support de-escalation and positive behaviour management when needed.

Requirements:

• Team Teach trained (desirable, not essential, full training can be provided)
• Previous experience in a behaviour support, LSA/TA, SEN, or mainstream secondary setting
• Confident, calm, and skilled at building trust with pupils who may struggle to self-regulate
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
