Job summary

Aspire People in Manchester is seeking a motivated Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people in primary and secondary education settings. The role focuses on mentoring 1:1 and in small groups, using sport and activities to build positive relationships and encourage engagement with learning.

The ideal candidate brings experience as a Sports Coach or Youth Worker, strong communication, resilience and the ability to set boundaries while fostering confidence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sports Coach, Football Coach, PE Coach or Youth Worker.
• Professional experience working with children or young people.
• Confident managing groups and individual pupils.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, energetic and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring.
• Supporting pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs.

Aspire People are recruiting Behaviour Mentors with a background in sport, coaching or youth development to support children and young people across education settings.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Sports Coach, Football Coach, PE Coach, Youth Worker or similar professional who enjoys using positive relationships, activities and shared interests to engage young people and support their behaviour.

You do not need to have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant. We are interested in candidates with strong professional experience working with children and young people.

The Role:
