Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils across a range of primary and secondary settings in Lancashire. You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring, help pupils re-engage with education and develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviours under the guidance of teachers and pastoral teams.

The role emphasizes building trusting relationships, managing challenging behaviour with calm, patient communication, and delivering pastoral interventions.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience supporting children or young people
• Experience as a Youth Mentor, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Worker or similar

Aspire People are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people across a range of primary and secondary settings.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously worked as Youth Mentors, Behaviour Mentors, Pastoral Support Workers, Youth Workers or in similar roles supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social needs.

The Role:

The Ideal Candidate:

• Confident supporting challenging behaviour
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Calm, patient and consistent approach
• Understanding of boundaries and positive behaviour strategies
• Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning
