Job summary

About the role:

This is a full-time role starting in September, with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.

• Implement behaviour support strategies to help pupils manage emotions, regulate behaviour, and remain engaged in learning.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
• Respond to challenging behaviours in a calm, patient, and consistent manner, using de-escalation techniques where necessary.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or in pastoral/support roles.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and approaches to supporting emotional regulation.
• Ability to remain calm, resilient, and consistent in challenging situations.
• Relevant training or qualifications such as Team Teach, Youth Work, Childcare, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
