Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking three confident and resilient Behaviour Mentors to join a dedicated pastoral team in a specialist education setting in Dover, UK. The roles involve 1:1 and small group support, helping students regulate emotions and removing barriers to learning.

Ideal candidates will have SEMH/PRU or Alternative Provision experience, remain calm under pressure, and hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one). Great transport links and parking are available.

Qualifications

  • Previous SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience.
  • Calm under pressure and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).

Do you have experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

A specialist education setting is looking for three confident and resilient Behaviour Mentors to join their dedicated pastoral team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in an SEMH school, PRU, alternative provision, youth work, residential care or a similar environment.

The successful candidate will build positive relationships with pupils, provide 1:1 and small group support, help students regulate their emotions and work alongside teaching staff to remove barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

  • Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
  • Record progress and safeguarding concerns
  • Promote a safe and positive learning environment
The ideal candidate
  • Previous SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience
  • Calm under pressure
  • Resilient with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
