Job summary

Engage Education in Brighton is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEND in a proactive, classroom-based setting. You will work with a dedicated team to help learners achieve progress and build confidence.

You will join a supportive environment and engage with teachers and parents to monitor pupil development, with opportunities for CPD and career progression within SEND education.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and mentoring manner.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
• Think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School.
• Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supporting on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents
• Assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities
