The Education Network in Walsall is seeking a conscientious Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours in a specialist setting. Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours is essential for this Behaviour Mentor role.
  • Experience within a school, Alternative Provision, PRU or specialist setting would be highly desirable.
  • The school is happy to consider applications from both primary and secondary Behaviour Mentors.
  • The successful Behaviour Mentor will be calm, patient and resilient, with the confidence to manage challenging situations and build positive relationships with young people.

Job description

Behaviour Mentor required to support young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours at a specialist school in Walsall. Are you a Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding new challenge? Do you have experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour? This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive team and make a genuine difference to young people's education.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting young people who may experience a range of SEMH needs, challenging behaviours and barriers to learning. The Behaviour Mentor will work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to build positive relationships, encourage engagement and help young people develop the skills they need to succeed.
