Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Oldbury. You will provide 1:1 support for pupils with Autism and behavioural needs, while helping them engage with learning and develop emotional regulation.

Role is full-time, long-term temporary with temp-to-perm potential. Working Monday to Friday (term time only) with a September 1 2026 start date. A dedicated consultant supports you throughout the placement and free CPD is available.

Daily Pay Rate: £110 - 120


Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only), full-time


Start Date: September 1 st 2026


Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm


Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with additional needs? Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Oldbury, providing 1:1 support for pupils with Autism (ASC) and challenging behaviour.


Working closely with children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), you'll play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, regulate emotions, and engage positively in learning.


Responsibilities


  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.

  • Implementing EHCP targets and personalised behaviour strategies.

  • Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour.

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families.
