Job summary

Working in a thriving secondary school, you will be contributing to ensuring a high-quality education and a supportive environment can be achieved for all students. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Behaviour Manager to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in ensuring the continuity of education for students by helping to keep a respectful school environment.

The Role

As Behaviour Manager, you will take a lead on promoting high standards of behaviour across the school. You will work closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, and families to support students in making positive choices, manage challenging behaviours, and reduce barriers to learning. Your role will involve:

  • Developing and implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Responding to incidents and supporting students in real time
  • Coordinating with Heads of Year and safeguarding teams
  • Maintaining accurate records and analysing behaviour data
  • Building positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional development
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a behaviour or pastoral support role, ideally in a secondary school
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to de-escalate situations calmly
  • High levels of resilience, empathy, and emotional intelligence
  • A firm but fair approach and the confidence to challenge and support students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
