Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a Primary School in Stockton-on-Tees for a full-time September start. The role focuses on supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, promoting positive behaviours and building relationships to help learning both in and out of the classroom.

Working with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff, you will implement support plans, encourage engagement and attendance, and contribute to a supportive school

Qualifications

  • Experience in behaviour support within a school setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff.

Responsibilities

Behaviour Support Assistant Primary School | Stockton-on-Tees
Full-Time | September StartHelp children develop positive behaviours and thrive in school. Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Stockton-on-Tees this September. This rewarding role involves working with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships and succeed both inside and outside the classroom. The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils in managing social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement support plans.
  • Encourage engagement, attendance and participation in learning.

  • Sports Coaching
  • Mental Health Support
  • Psychology or related graduate backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
