Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a Good-rated secondary school in Walsall. You will support students with behavioural and pastoral needs, working with teachers and families to promote positive engagement and attitudes to learning.

You will mentor individuals and small groups, build trusted relationships, and help students develop resilience, emotional regulation and social skills while upholding safeguarding standards within a supportive pastoral team.

Qualificações

• Experience with young people, ideally in secondary education or pastoral settings.
• Calm, consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Build strong professional relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Resilient, patient and able to stay composed in tough situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work well as part of a wider pastoral and safeguarding team.
• Committed to inclusion and supporting every pupil's progress.
• Organised, proactive and able to use initiative.
• Understand safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring for students needing behavioural or pastoral support.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and act as a role model.
• Help students understand and manage their behaviour and make positive choices.
• Support students to develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and social skills.
• Assist students to re-engage with learning after incidents or difficulties.
• Work with teaching and pastoral staff to implement individual strategies.
