Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. in Radcliffe is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to help students engage with learning and improve attendance.

Working in a secondary school, you will build trusting relationships, de-escalate situations, and collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive changes and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience in secondary schools or youth work preferred.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with calmness.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and manage challenging situations.
• Encourage engagement with learning and improve attendance.
• Support pupils at risk of disengagement and liaise with staff.
• De-escalate incidents calmly and maintain clear boundaries.
