GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Battery Controls Engineer to advance real-time control algorithms for the ERS in a Formula 1 setting. You will develop embedded software for HV battery management, integrate sensors, and ensure robust diagnostics.

Candidates should have advanced degrees or equivalent experience in embedded systems, with strong C/C++ skills, real-time programming, and experience in automotive/motorsport environments. On-site Concord, NC team, competitive package.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or related field.
• Or Bachelor's with 5+ years embedded software development experience.
• Experience with battery management systems and battery control algorithms.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software for HV battery management and components.
• Implement sensor data acquisition, HALs, and real-time communication.
• Collaborate with controls and hardware teams to ensure cohesive operation.
• Perform MiL/SiL/HiL and trackside testing; create unit tests and requirements.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards for high-performance motorsport.
