GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC seeks a Battery Controls Engineer to develop embedded software for the HV battery management system within our ERS team.

You will implement real-time control algorithms, work with cross-functional controls and hardware teams, and ensure safety and quality through MiL/SiL/HiL testing on trackside hardware. This role offers a startup racing environment with engineering excellence and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Embedded software expertise in C/C++ for HV battery management systems.
• Experience with real-time programming and safety-critical systems.
• Familiarity with CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART networks.
• Understanding of control theory and multi-rate control systems.
• Experience with MiL/SiL/HiL, and trackside testing.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software in C, C++ for the HV battery management system.
• Implement sensor data acquisition, HALs, real-time communication, and diagnostics features.
• Collaborate with controls and electrical hardware teams for cohesive operation.
• Conduct software debugging, verification and validation including MiL/SiL/HiL and trackside testing.
• Create requirements and unit tests to form robust, scalable code bases.
• Adhere to software quality, safety, and regulatory standards for motorsport.
