Job summary

Boringdon Hall, a 16th century manor house and luxury hotel near Plymouth, is seeking staff to deliver superb guest service in a five‑star environment. You will uphold the venue’s ethos and ensure guests enjoy a warm welcome, impeccable hospitality, and a memorable stay across hotel services.

Role requires a calm, proactive attitude, high presentation standards, and strong teamwork. Training covers health, safety, and promotions, with varied duties across Food & Beverage and hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest service to the highest standard for internal and external guests within the Hotel at any time
• Ensure the company ethos is at the forefront of all work undertaken
• Be responsible for the section of service you are given and complete work to the highest standard expected
• Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the utmost hospitality
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures in training
• Serve food and drinks quickly and to five-star standards
• Keep up to date with promotions and products through training
• Promote promotions to guests during training and self-study
• Assist in any function or event setups as instructed by your line manager
• Maintain exemplary billing systems and collect payments from guests according to policy
• Observe cleaning rotas, health and safety, and hygiene regulations
• Present the company and yourself in a professional manner
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards in appearance and manner
• Ensure compliance with key legislation and handle complaints professionally
• Maintain good working relationships with all departments and communicate information
• Understand Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid
• Carry out other duties as required

This rolehas a starting rate of £12.75 per hour... On successful completion of probation period you will receive an increase to £13.25 per hour and £50 in hotel vouchers.

Role & Responsibilities

• Todeliver guest service to the highest standard for internal and externalguests within the Hotel at any time.
• Toensure the company ethos is at the forefront of all work undertaken.
• To beresponsible for the section of service you are given and as a task, completingthe work to the highest standard expected.
• To ensure allour guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitalityand care during their stay with us – we aim to provide an unforgettableexperience
• To follow allhotel policies as outlined in your training manual:
• Serve foodand drinks, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards as set out for 5star standard.
• Keep up todate with current promotions and new products through training and briefings.
• Make guests aware of promotions on our food and drink range through training andself-study.
• To assist inany function or events set ups in accordance with procedures.
• To carry outwork for any function or event as instructed by your line manager.
• To maintainexemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from guests in accordancewith company policy, and the accurate accounting and processing of allreception sales.
• To observeand comply with cleaning rotas, health and safety, food and hygieneregulations.
• Ensure highstandards of financial and reporting diligence in accordance with companypolicy.
• Topresent the company and yourself in a professional manner at all times whilstlinked to Boringdon Hall
• Tomaintain the highest hygiene standards in your personal presentation and mannerwhilst linked to Boringdon Hall.
• Toensure key legislation is complied with and followed.
• To ensure allcomplaints are minimised and handled professionally as in accordance with ourpolicies
• Toensure good working relationship with all other departments and communicateinformation throughout the hotel.
• To understand responsibilities in relation to FireProcedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
