Job summary

Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa in Newquay is seeking a dedicated kitchen colleague to prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues, ensure supplies at cooking stations, and handle ingredients such as vegetables and spices.

Under the guidance of senior chefs, you will contribute to new presentation ideas, optimize cooking processes for speed and quality, enforce strict health and hygiene standards, and support a cooperative team environment; additional duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.).
• Follow the guidance of the senior chefs and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes.
• Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
• Any other duties as required.
