Esplanade Hotel, a four-star family hotel overlooking Fistral Beach in Newquay, seeks a Reception team member. Welcome guests, manage bookings, promote services, and ensure smooth check-in/out while delivering memorable hospitality.

The role offers a warm team environment with opportunities for career growth, staff discounts, and a comprehensive benefits program. On-site duties include handling reservations, billing, and guest assistance throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all of our guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitality and care during their stay with us.
• To provide an unforgettable experience from booking to departure through Reception.
• To follow hotel policies as outlined in the training manual - Reservations, Sales, Check In and Check Out Procedures.
• To achieve sales in line with company objectives.
• To promote additional products and services within the hotel and group brand.
• To maintain accurate billing and process all reception payments.
• To support the reservations team with booking assistance.
• To handle complaints professionally and in line with hotel policy.
• To maintain cross-department communication and daily updates.
• To understand Fire, Health & Safety, COSHH and Emergency procedures.
• All other duties as required.

This rolehas a starting rate of £12.75 per hour... On successful completion of probation period you will receive an increase to£13.25 per hour and £50 in hotel vouchers.

Role & Responsibilities:

• To provide an unforgettable experience and this starts with Reception - not just on arrival but through the whole process of booking to departure.
• To follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual - Reservations, Sales, Check In and Check Out Procedures

• To maintain exemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from guests in accordance with company Policy, and the accurate accounting and processing of all reception sales.
• To maintain high standards of hospitality, processing bookings, up selling, salesmanship, financial and reporting diligence.
• To support the reservations team with booking support.
• To ensure all complaints are minimized and handled professionally as in accordance with hotel policy
• To ensure a good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel
• Stock replenishment of department areas
• Ensure daily updates are communicated throughout the hotel
• Follow legislation relating to job role.
