Job summary

De Vere Grand Birmingham is seeking a bar back to support the Madeleine bar team and ensure seamless service from kitchen to guest areas. Flexible hours across weekdays, weekends, and holidays with opportunities to learn Grand Hospitality.

Roles include stocking glassware, maintaining clean workspaces, and assisting with food and beverage service. We offer competitive hourly pay (£12.71) plus service charges, staff discounts at De Vere properties, and a range of wellbeing and career development

Qualifications

• Stocking bar with glassware and stock
• Maintaining clean and organized bar and back-of-house
• Completing opening and closing checklists
• Delivering food and drinks to guests with attention to allergens and dietary needs
• Collaborating with bar, floor, kitchen and hotel staff

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware and stock
• Keep the bar and back of house areas clean, organised and always well maintained
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Delivering food and drinks to the guest, paying particular attention to allergens, dietary requirements, special requests and occasions
• Work closely with the bar, floor, kitchen, hosts and wider hotel staff to ensure best possible service to all guests
• Team player with strong organisation and communication skills
