The Grand Hotel Birmingham Limited is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant for Isaacs Restaurant on Colmore Row. You will deliver warm, friendly service to guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, supported by a vibrant brasserie and jazz-bar atmosphere.

Flexible hours are offered with shifts from 11:30 to 01:00, and you will work closely with bar, kitchen and hotel teams to maximise guest satisfaction and sales. Competitive hourly rate and staff benefits apply.

Open from breakfast to dinner, and every Sunday for our elevated Sunday Roast, Isaacs is a proud celebration of locally sourced ingredients and elegant simplicity. And when the sun goes down, Downstairs at The Grand takes over — a stylish speakeasy jazz bar with a full calendar of live music, craft cocktails, and cabaret charm.

As Food & Beverage assistant you will bring your personality and flair to provide a warm, friendly and generous service to our guests. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests, time and time again.

We are offering flexible hours to suit your availability – shift patterns range through evenings and weekends from: 11:30 – 18:30 / 17:00 – 23:30 / 18:00 – 01:00

What the role will involve

• Promote an always welcome and professional image to the guest, and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, forging great relationships
• To be knowledgeable on the menus, being able to answer any questions, and make recommendations
• To follow all steps of service, ensuring the focus remains guest-centric
• Work closely with the bar, kitchen, hosts and wider hotel staff to ensure best possible service
• To build a rapport with all guests in assigned section and use this to maximise sales opportunities
• Be flexible to jump into any roll within the restaurant when needed
