Job summary

Nexus Jobs in the City of London seeks a Desktop Support Analyst with 5+ years in desktop support in banking. You will handle 1st- to 3rd-line support, cover Windows 7 and Office 2013, and support XenApp published applications for internal banking staff and VIPs.

The role includes remote European user support, adherence to SLAs, involvement in deployments and ad-hoc projects, and opportunities to work within a Service Desk team in a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

5+ years of desktop support experience in 1st-3rd line.
Banking environment experience preferred.
Experience supporting banking desktop platforms.
Experience in OS refresh cycles.
Familiar with Service Desk software.
Experience with market data products.
ITIL and Microsoft certs advantageous.
Maintain industry-recognised skills through training.
Strong Windows and Office suite skills.
TCP/IP and basic networking knowledge.
Root-cause analysis and remediation skills.
Experience with Windows 7.
Experience with Office 2013.
Experience supporting XenApp published apps.
Experience with desktops, laptops and Blackberry devices.

Responsibilities

Provide full user support for desktop and peripheral hardware, applications, network connectivity and remote access.
Offer remote and telephone support for mobile and European users.
Work within the Service Desk team to deliver all aspects of service.
Provide 1st and 2nd line support with root-cause analysis.
Support remote branches using Remote Assistance.
Manage the Active Directory user starter and leaver processes.
Support internal banking staff and VIPs in a customer-facing capacity.
Maintain and support desktops, laptops, and Blackberry devices.
Work to SLA targets.
Participate in ad-hoc projects.
